List of altered state encounters, no particular order.
Injury date 30/07/2017.
Diagnosis- Post concussion syndrome, visual processing issues (pattern glare and light sensitivity), nerve damage (upper spine area and ulnar and median nerves affecting left arm and hand) and psychological trauma.
I kept an injury journal and detailed various aspects which included 'states of mind'.
These were summarised after the first 5 months post head injury as:-
'Fantastical imagery' and as having a sense of 'only existing in the here and now'.
The here and now.
The body disappears, there is only sight, sound and feeling and the sense of knowing this. An awareness that there is awareness and the senses are what are making what can be seen, seen, heard, heard and felt, felt. It is internal, what is 'outside' is in fact inside and is timeless. There are no mind thoughts only awareness of the sight, sound and feeling.
This disconnect is apparent at the time and overwhelming after when there is a reconnect to the 'reality' that has been present until the experience occurred.
